Losing weight is like learning to ride a bicycle. It takes practice, some falling, more practice, more falling - the point is, as a child all you wanted was to be able to ride the bicycle and be cool like the rest of your friends, so giving up was not an option no matter how many cuts and bruises you get - you were determined.
Weight Loss is not about spending 24/7 in the gym nor never enjoying a treat or two - it is about finding balance between exercise, nutrition, stress and sleep - we need to find what works for YOU! Learn to embrace the journey and enjoy the ride as you discover your balance, and quit looking for overnight success that does not exist!
Come back to your child-like self and "WANT IT BAD ENOUGH" to succeed. A child learning to ride a bicycle for the first time will keep on trying, they don't think of giving up, they don't think "this isn't for me" or "this isn't working", they just get back up again and again through a lot of frustration but they work at it and anything worth having requires work and time, commitment, consistency, discipline and courage! So no matter how many times you fall off the weight loss wagon, you get back up and keep moving forward.
There is no giving up. The stakes are higher now, it is not anymore a matter of being cool like the rest of them; now it's about achieving a healthy quality of life, for you and the people you love.
