1) IS BOOT CAMP FOR ME? Our boot camps are our SMALL GROUP PERSONAL TRAINING, so not only are you getting a great workout, you will learn how to do exercises properly and safely. So, whether you are a beginner exerciser or a seasoned one, boot camp is for you. No matter what your fitness level is, boot camp is for you. If you have 100 lbs to lose or just the last 10 lbs, boot camp is for you. If you are in perfect condition or with injuries or limitations and restrictions, boot camp is for you. We push everyone to work harder than they have ever worked, however, we do cater to and respect your needs and limitations as you should. Please do consult with your doctor before starting boot camp.
2) WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BELLY BLAST BOOT CAMP AND 21 DAY BELLY BLAST CHALLENGE? KATz Belly Blast Boot Camp is the workout itself while the 21 Day Belly Blast Challenge is the optional nutrition program that will shoot your weightloss results to the roof! You can't out exercise poor nutrition, we strongly recommend this program if you are not currently following a healthy diet. Its a one time investment for a special boot camp price, you will never have to purchase it again whether you join another camp or not. 3) CAN NON-YMCA MEMBERS JOIN? Yes, KATz Boot Camp is open to the public. The fees for boot camp and the 21 Day Belly Blast is the same, except non-members have to pay a ONE-TIME fee of $40..
4) HOW OFTEN DO WE MEET FOR CAMP AN WHERE DO WE MEET? We have an AM and PM session, choose what works best for your schedule. AM Session meets Mondays and Wednesdays, we start at 6:00am sharp and done at 6:45am in the Aerobc Studio and PM Session is Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30pm to 7:15pm we meet in the gym. Don't be late! We meet at YMCA Skyview located at 3050 E. Centennial Pkwy in North Las Vegas. Sometimes we go outdoors depending on the weather.
5) WHAT DO I BRING TO CAMP? You will need to bring with you the following:
~ A resistance band for your fitness level, available at any sports store.
~ An exercise mat, bring whatever you already have at home, but if you need to buy one, invest on one that has some thickness
~ A towel to wipe your sweat.....and your tears.
~ Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate so bring lots of water
~ Your KAT-TITUDE! and leave your whining at home!
6) SHOULD I EAT BEFORE CAMP? Yes! Never come to camp with an empty stomach, no passing out allowed in camp. Eat a small meal 30-45 minutes before camp starts, slow burning carbs like a piece of whole grain toast or a small bowl of oatmeal.
7) HOW DO I GET STARTED? To join our next scheduled session, please drop into YMCA Skyview or call the front desk at 702.522.7500 to register.
